Saturate Volunteer Information - McDonough

Saturate Volunteer Positions

Lifeguard
Lifeguards work with a specific grade level, 1st-5th, for the entire year. Responsibilities Include:

  • Pray for your students regularly and connect with them
  • Arrive no later than 6:45 to Worship Center
  • Welcome regulars and visitors.
  • Check Bible Class Notebooks and give stamps for weekly assignments.
  • Award watermarks to reinforce any kind of positive behavior.
  • Ensure that students receive their prizes as they reach the different point levels.
  • Take students to their Choice Classes, Bible Class, and back to the Worship Center.
  • Assist in a choice class during your rotation.
  • Supervise your class during Worship Night.
  • Help children listen for their names during dismissal.
  • Help supervise students during dress rehearsals and performances.

Choice Teachers
Choice Teachers lead classes for students in 1st-5th in a specific area of fine or performing arts. These volunteers should have a working knowledge of their area of discipline. 
Responsibilities include:

  • Pray for your students regularly and connect with them.
  • Plan and teach weekly lessons in your area of discipline that are developmentally appropriate and demonstrate worship of our Lord Jesus through that art form.
  • Communicate any needs you have so we can provide them for you.
  • Work with Saturate leaders and other choice teachers to plan and put on the Spring performance.
  • Find a ministry opportunity for your students to serve using the skills they have learned.  For options contact: Luisa Duren 
  • Choice teachers are welcome to schedule auditions and outside rehearsal times or events if desired.
  • Award watermarks to reinforce any kind of positive behavior.
  • Present your class at the Choice Fair in August and January.

Saturate Field Day

  • Plan and carry out two Saturate Field Days a year that involve learning about being a Christ-Follower while in engaging in outdoor, active games and activities.

Bible Teachers

Bible Teachers teach our Bible survey curriculum, to individual grade level classes.  Responsibilities include:

  • Pray for your students regularly and connect with them
  • Connect with Jennifer Hembree, children's pastor, to be trained on teaching the curriculum
  • Give weekly Bible lesson to your assigned group(s)
  • Award watermarks to reinforce any kind of positive behavior
  • Help supervise students during dress rehearsals and performances
