How to Use This Devotional
We are glad you’ve decided to walk with us as a church through our Advent devotional! For the next 28 days, beginning Sunday, November 29, we will post a short devotion written to stir our hearts in love and adoration for Jesus. Each devotion will begin with a recommended Scripture reading, offer a reflection on an idea from the passage, and end with a question for reflection. You can use this devotion for personal worship, but if you have a family, we encourage you to use it as a tool to use in family worship.
If you have young children, we encourage you to take one simple thought from the devotion, like “Jesus loves us,” and use it to teach them something about Jesus.
If you have older children, try to engage them at a deeper level. You can encourage them to read the devotion. Let them ask questions about what they don’t understand. Get them thinking and talking.
No matter how you use it, we encourage you to end each devotion with prayer. Ask God to grow your love for Jesus this Advent season. We’re praying for you!
